Natalie Marie Saez was born and raised in Irvine, California in 1992. She completed her Bachelors in Fine Art with a concentration in painting from the Herberger Institute at Arizona State University in 2014. During this time, Saez developed a deep interest in portraiture and a fascination with the human psyche. Following these passions, Saez received her Masters of Art in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After several years of working as a community based art therapist in Philadelphia schools, she has redirected her attention to the field of art education. In 2022, she moved to Malmö, Sweden where she currently teaches public and private classes. All the while, Saez continues to paint, creating semi-autobiographical, surreal pieces influenced by mental and emotional transitions, her spirituality, and past experiences as a therapist.
